Ng Weng Fatt started his career in 1984 as local consultant engineer responsible for the designing of civil works for highway and bridges.  In 1995, he joined an established main board construction company specialised in heavy civil engineering works.  He later became a deputy head of operation for the company covering a wide scope of work including overseeing the construction of a highway project in India.

Ng joined Zecon Geotechnical Services Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zecon Berhad in July 2004 as a Project Director.  In May 2008 he was appointed Executive Director of Zecon Water Corporation Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zecon Berhad which is currently involved in the implementation of Triang Water Supply Scheme in Negeri Sembilan.

Graduated as a Civil/Structural Engineer from Dublin, Ireland in 1983, Ng is a registered Professional Engineer (Malaysia) and a corporate Member of the Institute of Engineer, Malaysia since 1990.
